It wasn’t about having fun, it was about winning.
Or so suggested the quality of surfing. From Easter Friday through to Sunday the Gold Coasts Duranbah lit up with some of the best bodyboarders accross Australia’s East, West and South coasts.
The standout figure when push came to shove was Inverted big hitter, Lachlan Cramsie. Surfing consistent throughout, it was Cramsie who took it to the final and ended with a win over an in form Mitch Rawlins. Other standouts included Calen Jordan who stunned the field with a well rehearsed display of flips, Elliot Williams who hit hard with the only 10 of the event, Joe Clarke who surfed consistent throughout and took it all the way to the quarters and finally Mitch Rawlins, whom as per the norm blew the contest away with a well balanced display of power surfing.
